CBS PE Program Hosts Youth About Business

This summer, the Columbia Business School Private Equity Program hosted teenagers through Youth About Business, an organization that exposes youth to the business world via experiential learning and by fostering the development of business literacy and leadership skills. Through various initiatives hosted by CBS and companies in New York City, the teenagers were able to experience firsthand what the financial world is like.

In July, special events for the students included a basic camp at CBS and a Wall Street Conference that featured breakfast with special speaker CBS alumna Philicia Davis '24, also a Youth About Business graduate.

Additionally, CBS professors, alumni and current MBA students volunteered their time to the teenagers on campus coaching them on pitches for a mergers-and-acquisitions business competition. Volunteers who coached included Gregory Dalvito '96, Chioma Enechukwu '26, Brandon Gaynor Alexander '26, Michael Hillmeyer '97, CBS Professor Donna M. Hitscherich '90, Greta Larson, Omar Mohamed '21, Dave Poritzky, and David Reinthal '23.
